Here is another simple little project. We wanted to make a housewarming gift for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law since they recently purchased a new home. We decided what home doesn’t need a good beer bottle opener, or two!
We made one from oak for indoor use and one from cedar for outdoor use. Cherie got to try her hand with her new pyrography set and put some messages on them. We used a bear head bottle opener and a bottle cap catcher below. The cedar plank was finished in boiled linseed oil and the oak was stained with Varathane Aged Barrel Stain and then coated with spray on polyurethane.
This was not a difficult project but a fun one and I thought others might find it to be good inspiration for their homes or gifts!
