I wanted to capture a cool little project I knocked out as a Christmas gift this year. As I’ve mentioned in the past my extended family picks names and we have to make custom gifts for each other each year. I’ve made a handful of fun ones including a car jack lamp and a wine rack.
Since I knew my cousin’s kid played soccer I decided to make her a custom soccer clock! In the grand scheme of things this was not an especially difficult project but only because I had access to the right tools. I was able to cut the round shape on the new CNC plasma cutter we have at work. I asked my sister-in-law to cut the vinyl on her new vinyl cutter. I painted the steel part myself and installed a clock mechanism with a variety of hands from Amazon.
